Dear Students, Esteemed Academic and Administrative Colleagues, Alumni, and Stakeholders,

At OSTİM Technical University, we view internationalization not merely as reaching beyond borders, but as bringing together knowledge, production, technology, cultures, and human potential around a shared vision for the future. Our identity as “the university of industry” gives us a distinctive responsibility: to transform the production strength of OSTİM, the strategic position of Ankara, Türkiye’s entrepreneurial dynamism, and the capabilities of our young people into visible, impactful, and sustainable value on a global scale. In today’s world, universities are not only institutions that grant degrees. They are dynamic ecosystems that develop solutions to global challenges, bring people from different countries together in joint projects, connect industry and academia around the same table, and use digital technologies for the benefit of humanity. OSTİM Technical University’s vision for internationalization is built precisely on this understanding: bringing together theory and practice, campus, industry, local strength and global perspective.                                                                                           .

Our main goal in internationalization is not only to provide our students with international experience, but also to equip them with the ability to understand the world, work across cultures, compete in global markets, act with ethical responsibility, and approach challenges with an entrepreneurial and solution-oriented mindset. Erasmus+ mobility programs, bilateral collaborations, joint research projects, international internship opportunities, academic development in foreign languages, intercultural engagement, and international industry connections are concrete instruments of this goal.

The strongest distinction of OSTİM Technical University is that it connects internationalization directly with production and practice. For our students, academics, and researchers, opening up to the world does not simply mean being present in another country. It means working together with universities, research centers, entrepreneurs, and industrial organizations from different countries to develop solutions to real problems. For this reason, we attach great importance to a multidisciplinary approach in our international partnerships, ranging from engineering to design, from digital transformation to sustainability, and from entrepreneurship to business, trade, and management.

Digitalization is the accelerating force of this vision. We prioritize strengthening digital application systems, online advising, data-driven decision-making, hybrid education models, and international digital collaborations in order to make our international processes more accessible, transparent, measurable, and student-centered. For us, digitalization is not merely an administrative convenience; it is a strategic transformation that expands equal access to opportunities, broadens participation in mobility, and makes global connections more sustainable.

In the coming period, we will build our internationalization roadmap around five practical priorities: establishing more qualified and target-oriented international partnerships; increasing mobility opportunities for our students and staff; creating a strong academic and social integration ecosystem for our international students; expanding international joint courses, projects, and research; and managing all these processes through a digital, traceable, and quality-oriented structure.

Our success in this journey will not be measured only by the number of signed protocols. True success will be reflected when one of our students takes responsibility in an international project, when one of our academics contributes to a global research network, when one of our industrial partners develops a new international collaboration through our university, when students from different cultures produce together on our campus, and when our graduates confidently represent the OSTİM Technical University identity anywhere in the world.

At the center of this vision, extending from OSTİM to the world, is the human being. Through the dreams of our students, the knowledge of our academics, the dedication of our administrative staff, the production power of our industry, and the contributions of our international partners, we are building a more open, more connected, more innovative, and more impactful university.

Our goal is clear: to make OSTİM Technical University a university that draws strength from the local while thinking together with the world; that is deeply connected with industry while being nourished by universal academic values; that embraces digitalization not only as a technology but also as a culture; and that is internationally visible, reliable, and productive.

I firmly believe that we will bring this vision to life together, and I invite all our students, academic and administrative staff, alumni, and stakeholders to actively contribute to OSTİM Technical University’s global journey.
