Prof. Dr. Mustafa POLAT

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Polat is a faculty member at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at OSTİM Technical University. He earned his B.Sc. degree in Systems Engineering from the Turkish Military Academy in 1994, an MBA in Defense Management (English Business Administration) from Yeditepe University in 2000, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Uludağ University in 2010. He was awarded the title of Associate Professor in the field of Management and Strategy in 2012 and was promoted to full Professor in the same field in 2021.

Prof. Polat served for many years as a faculty member, Department Chair, and Head of Division at the Turkish Military Academy. In 2000, he was a member of the pioneering team that conducted the first feasibility study for the Modern Tank project in Türkiye. Between 2016 and 2019, he contributed to the establishment of the National Defence University and played an active role in the restructuring of the Turkish Military Academy's curriculum. Within this framework, he designed the "Bachelor’s Degree Program in Logistics," which was implemented for the first time in the Turkish Armed Forces and the Turkish Military Academy starting in 2019.

He has taught various courses at Erzincan University, Atılım University, and the Turkish Aeronautical Association University. Additionally, he has delivered seminars at the Gendarmerie and Coast Guard Academy as well as at numerous public and private sector institutions. His academic work includes national and international articles, book chapters, and conference papers in the fields of Management, Strategy, Leadership, Logistics, and Organizational Behavior.

Since 2003, Prof. Polat has also been engaged in voluntary educational activities, providing mentorship and consultancy at various educational institutions, aiming to support the career development of young minds.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Polat, who served as the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at OSTİM Technical University between 2021-2024, has been serving as the Vice Rector responsible for R&D and projects since December 2024.

Prof. Polat continues to work on the development of individual, organizational and national talents in businesses on the path to national development.
